Our ancestors, for hundreds of years, they are giving us shelter and perspective of how small we are in their midst. Caring for our ancient trees and if it means to hug them so no one can cut them.

seeing and hearing the unlimited spirit

Europe offers a multicultural and ancient art of cathedrals with music within. Organ concerts for walk- ins. Taking a break from shopping with a Fugue by Bach to move us into our own soul space, before taking on the hussle of worldly activities again. A healthy balance and so uplifting.

Loving the snow

It was never cold in the snow dressed just right. Snow is dry too. I dropped myself right in it on my back and made a snow angel, with my arms the wings, legs the skirt, stood up shook myself and to my amazement, the coat was dry.

Total white

Loading our car in Schwaighausen, we encountered rain for the first time. The temperature had dropped and when we arrived in Hohenschäftlarn 2 hours later it started to snow. Silently and constantly white powder was falling from heaven. The moon light was illuminating the landscape, I could not go to sleep, the changing beauty kept me in awe.
I woke up to this picture.
It beckoned me to take a walk. The air was clear and full of life. We walked for a long time.
Elation in my German soul.

Caring to do some yoga

It's not easy to fit a discipline that is habitually done in a certain room and time like in a yoga lesson into one's traveling days.
Why not in pajamas?
Or on some balcony before lunch.

or on the plane.

The breath is the most important next to a listening to one's own body-temple.

Caring for our dead

It was late afternoon and the shadows stretched long between tall maple and birch trees.
When I arrived at my parent's grave, my hand lay damp in Stephen's warm grip. With a tight throat I placed a pot of heather where we laid my dad to rest. It's strange that our ancestors are often with us, and it feels safe and reassuring, but their graves are ominous. This cemetery has many trees and old gravestones and we kept wandering around between angels and wise words.
